| The year 2011 marks the 200th year of Alex the Greek coming to Nova Scotia. From humble roots his descendants have gone on to many parts of this continent to become proud Canadians and Americans. | ||

| It would be a shame not to celebrate this momentous occasion. | ||

| Richard Greek (of the Pudding and Sausage Greeks) and I are spearheading a 3-day event in August to mark the occasion. | ||

| The logical place to celebrate was in Blue Rocks itself; however that location had to be reconsidered when we were unable to find a large enough venue in the small community, so some activities will have to out of necessity be in Lunenburg itself. | ||

| The dates run from the 12th to the 14th of August 2011. | ||
