Make Sail for Lunenburg - Climb Your Family Tree was be held in Lunenburg on June 8th and 9th to coincide with the anniversary of the Founding of the Town of Lunenburg.
The South Shore Genealogy Society, in partnership with the Lunenburg Heritage Society and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, hosted a Family History Weekend to promote the genealogy and heritage of the Lunenburg and to encourage new and existing members' involvement.

Janet and Tom Phelan from Vermont get in a little research on Friday before the events get started. Joan Parks Hubley, one of the organizers, gets all dolled up for the event on Friday nite. A number of people took advantage of their trip to Lunenburg. Here is Barbara (seated) answering some of the many questions. Paul Conrad (vice president) had the honor of opening Friday nite events. The auditorium was filled for the lectures on Friday nite.

Joan Parks Hubley explained her outfit and then introduced Terry Punch. Terry Punch was one of the guest speakers. As usual, he captivated the audience. After the lectures, the party got started. Ha!Ha!. Lunenburg County Winery provided samples of their wine. Another Lunenburg Co. tradition - great food. Paula Masson and Betty Rhodenizer sampling the goodies.

Grace and Anna Barry may be more interested in the Alpha-bits today, but they will appreciate Grammie's work someday.
