School Class Pictures

Where are all the class pictures?

We know they are out there!
.
Why are we looking for these pictures?
.
As genealogists we spend so much of our time researching names, birthdates, death dates, spouses, marriages, children and the list goes on.
.
BUT - Do we ever get to actually know these people?
.
We may never get to know their likes and dislikes, what made them happy or what truly saddened them.
.
So, why the school pictures? Well, even though we may never know what the person was like, to be able to see what they looked like would be great. Sometimes we can  find a picture of a long lost relative but in many cases we can't. The school pictures were taken of all the children in the class and these pictures may be the only picture we will ever find of our grandmother or great grandfather.

We have heard for many years about our great uncle who loved to play partical jokes. What did he look like?
.
Or, we have heard for years "You look like your great grandfather". Wouldn't it be nice to see a picture of person whom you resemble.
.
So we are asking that your share your pictures with others.
.
Please take a moment and go through your old pictures. If you are like me, it will take more than a moment. Once I start going through those old pictures, I can't put them down. The memories! The good times, the good people and the fun.

You will have fun going through the old pictures and remembering AND another genealogist may thank you for taking that time and sharing your pictures.
